They're used to recognise visitors to the website.

Persistent cookies: Cookies help us recognise your browser on your next visit. You can choose to be informed about cookies, allow them in some cases, or not at all. If you don't allow cookies, you may not be able to use all the features of our website.

You can choose to be told when cookies are set, allow them in some cases, block them or have them deleted when you close your browser. If you block cookies, our website may not work properly.

2. Server log files

The website provider collects and stores information in server log files to improve the website. This includes your internet protocol address (IP address), browser and language setting, operating system, referrer URL, your internet service provider and date/time.

This data is not merged with personal data sources. We can check this data if we see signs of illegal use.

3. Google services

This website uses Google Analytics to analyse website usage. The resulting data is used to improve the website and advertising. Google Analytics is a web analysis service operated by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States). GDPR says data must go to an insecure country. Google processes data on our behalf and must keep it safe. This data goes to a Google server in the USA. Google complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield.

Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for two years. These cookies contain a random ID that lets us recognise you on future visits.

The website uses Google to collect, process and store personal data by means of cookies. Your IP address is anonymised. You can object to the collection of data by Google services (Google Analytics, Google Conversion Tracking) at any time by accessing the cookie settings and deactivating "Analytical cookies".

The recorded data is stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which makes it possible to analyse user profiles. This data is deleted after 14 months. Other data is stored indefinitely.

To prevent data collection, install the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

4. Social media buttons

The browser of an internet visitor can display content from various sources on a website, such as photos, videos, news feeds or the Facebook "Like" button. This website links to external content. If the visitor's browser encounters such a link, it requests the content from the third-party provider and inserts it into the website display at the desired location. The browser sends the visitor's IP address and browser info to the third-party server so it can decide which format to deliver the content in. It also sends info about the requested content. The operator of the website cannot control what information the browser sends and what the third-party provider does with it. The visitor agrees to this process.

5. Communication by email

When communicating by email, take precautions to keep the content confidential. If you don't tell us you don't want to be contacted by email, we will send you emails to that address. We are not responsible for any damage caused by this.

6. Your rights

You have the right to know what data we have about you, to have it corrected, deleted, restricted, transferred, cancelled or object to its use. If you think we're breaking data protection law or your data protection rights have been violated, you can complain to us (office@heritage-consulting.u) or the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb@dsb.gv.at).

7. Contact details
